Former Manchester United and Everton boss David Moyes has tonight been confirmed as the new manager of La Liga side Real Sociedad, six months after his reign at Old Trafford was brought to an end. Moyes has been linked with a number of managerial roles since he was sacked as Manchester United manager in May but will now take over a side who are currently struggling in 15th place in La Liga and who sacked manager Jagoba Arrasate earlier this month. The Spanish club confirmed Moyes’ appointment in a statement this evening and the Scot can now begin rebuilding the managerial reputation which took a bit of a battering during his ill-fated spell at Old Trafford last season.
