Corinna Schumacher is going through a very tough time of it at the moment, but she still found the time to thank a Donegal F1 fan for her support while her husband remains in a coma.

Formula One legend Michael Schumacher remains in a coma following a skiing accident over Christmas, with the latest reports suggesting that he is still in a ‘waking up process’ two weeks after doctors at the University of Grenoble began bringing him out of an induced coma.

Schumacher’s family have received plenty of support from his fans since the accident, including a letter sent by Donegal Formula One fan, Louise Cunningham, who, according to the Donegal Democrat, sent a letter to Schumacher in January and received a thank you letter in reply from Corinna Schumacher on Wednesday morning.

You can see the picture of the letter on the Donegal Democrat here, but in it, Corinna expresses her gratitude for Louise’s support and for gifts from Knock which she had also sent, while finishing with the line, “We all know Michael is a fighter and will not give up”.

A very classy touch from Corinna, who is in everyone’s thoughts at what must be a very difficult time right now.
