It was with a sense of deep sadness that we learned the news of Ben Farrell's passing following his incredibly brave battle with cancer.
As we mentioned a few weeks ago, Ben is a massive Batman fan who was diagnosed last Christmas with a rare form of kidney cancer known as Wilms' tumour.
Ben was also a massive fan of Dublin GAA and their supporters group are encouraging people to join in with a round of applause for Ben during Dublin's upcoming semi-final against Kerry.
This is a round of applause that's well deserved from everyone in attendance at Croke Park.
