Gardai are believed to be investigating an incident which happened in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood that Cooper is currently recovering in hospital after he was the victim of a knife attack in the early hours of this morning in the Dorset Street area of Dublin, only hours after his club Na Fianna were defeated by Templeogue Synge Street in the Dublin Championship.
Dublin supporters’ clubs have been sending their well wishes to Cooper on social media today and here’s hoping he makes a speedy recovery.
