Dublin hurler Ryan O'Dwyer has been hospitalised following a one-punch assault in England late last week.

The 29-year-old centre forward from Kilmacud Crokes was in the UK with the intention of watching this weekend's Rugby World Cup final when he was the victim of a completely unprovoked attack.
"It wasn't a prolonged incident. I think it was one punch and he fell over and hit the ground," a source told the Irish Independent.
"They are monitoring him, but they are hoping that he will be fine. He's making progress." O'Dwyer, a secondary school teacher originally from Tipperary, is believed to have suffered a broken jaw.
