You might need it to ease the nerves…

England are playing against Croatia in a World Cup semi-final tonight.

As Irish fans we can only dream of the feeling that fans of either country are feeling right now.

Just take the combination of excitement and fear that we have when we are in a qualifier against Georgia and multiply it by a thousand.

To celebrate the game, iconic pub Bruxelles on Harry Street is offering Croatian and English supporters in Dublin a complimentary whiskey during the evening’s match.

All you have to do is present either a British or Croatian passport at the bar during the match, and you’ll be given a free glass of Tullamore D.E.W.

And because it’s a World Cup semi-final, we imagine that fans of both teams will probably want a drink at some stage during the game…

The game kicks off at 7pm, so if you’re interested, you better start planning your evening now.

John Quinn, Global Brand Ambassador for Tullamore D.E.W. – said:

“The World Cup brings people together on a scale few other events can match. The rush of emotion and cultural belonging fans feel as they stand with other nations all watching their countries compete is incredibly powerful – and cannot be contained by borders. We want to extend a warm Irish welcome to English and Croatian fans watching this crucial game here tonight.”
