Dundalk FC manager Stephen Kenny once again loses an item of clothing in a café

Lightning doesn’t strike twice, unless you’re Stephen Kenny

We’re getting a sense of déjà vu…

We previously featured a story about Stephen Kenny being reunited with his favourite jumper, which he lost in the Panama Coffee Café in Dundalk a little over a year and a half ago. You can read more about that over here.

Well now, it appears as though Stephen has found himself in a similar situation again, as the Dundalk Democrat reports: “[the] league winning manager has once again left an item of clothing behind him in Panama Coffee, but this time – crucially – it’s his coat.”

Not again…

Speaking to the Dundalk Democrat, Panama Coffee’s owner, Stephen Egan, said: “Stephen came in for his cappuccino and his Greek yoghurt at around 10.30am. I didn’t give it a second thought to be honest.

“It’s a normal enough occurance.”

Unfortunately, that’s when Mr Kenny left without taking his coat. It must have been a particularly toasty day in the north east…

Mr Egan went on to say: “He has a big match against St Pat’s this evening and there was an eclipse this morning. I don’t know if one or both of those had an influence on this second incident.”

Thankfully, Mr Kenny eventually got word of where he had left his coat and sent someone down to the café to retrieve it.
