
Eamon Dunphy is returning to our TV screens in a new series about famous Irish sporting icons
That's showbiz, baby!
Get set because after Eamon Dunphy left his TV wife, he's since fallen in love with a a young one, eir Sport.
You know, in TV history Dunphy was sort of married to RTÉ and his new employers are a relatively new brand.
Anyways, Dunphy is back as one of Ireland’s most incendiary personalities gears up for a brand new interview series that will be broadcast on eir Sport.
Aside from his career as a professional footballer, the 73-year-old has also provided memorable work in print, radio and TV, and his new show is bound to be explosive.
In conjunction with Paddy Power, Wes Hoolahan's biggest fan will be hosting Head2Head, which has been championed as a series of "intense and intimate interviews with sporting greats who have a story to tell."
Over the course of the series, we're promised "impassioned opinion, occasional fiery clashes, plenty of tears, laughs, and moments of rare and raw honesty as Eamon sits down with Mick McCarthy, Robbie Keane, Ruby Walsh, Graeme Souness and Tomas O’ Sé."
The first episode sees Dunphy facing off with newly-appointed Irish manager Mick McCarthy, and it's going to be shown on eir Sport 1 this Friday 3o November at 10pm.
Episode two will see the journalist sitting down to talk with Ireland's record goalscorer and new assistant coach, Robbie Keane.
The interview with the former Spurs, Liverpool, and Celtic striker will be shown on Wednesday 5 December at 10.30pm on eir Sport. 1.
