Let’s face it, Tim Sherwood will probably not be manager of Spurs next season, so we’ve taken a look at who might be replacing him in the dugout at White Hart Lane.
By Bradley Maguire
According to JOE’s super secret sources *cough* Sky Sports *cough*, Tim Sherwood is going to be sacked at the end of the season. So we have weighed up the pros and cons of the five most likely replacements.
Mauricio Pochettino:
Pros: Young, hungry, great footballing philosophy, good hair.
Cons: Inexperienced, not proven at the highest level, sometimes questionable facial hair.
Glenn Hoddle:
Pros: A fan favourite, already confirmed interest in the job, a smile that will melt your heart.
Cons: Out of management since 2006, questionable tactics, probably a short-term solution.
Frank De Boer:
Pros: Calm, experience playing at a high level, has a fabulous Dutch accent.
Cons: Inexperienced manager, could be a pushover, receding hairline.
Louis Van Gaal:
Pros: Wants to coach in England, vastly experienced, passionate.
Cons: Hot-headed, old (or at least older than the other candidates), traditionally an international manager.
And finally…
…and finally we decided to include Chris Hughton as an outside candidate because, well, because he’s Irish really.
Chris Hughton:
Pros: He is a peaceful and placid creature, as a former player and coach at the club he’s well-liked at Spurs, he has fabulous fashion sense (see picture above) and is a calm head under pressure.
Cons: Too quiet, not experienced at the highest level and looks suspiciously like Gus Fring from Breaking Bad…
