We’re hosting the Euros!! Kind of…
We’re just about getting over the fact that we’re not going to be in this year’s World Cup. We had a great time at the Euros in 2016, and now we’re taking a tournament off. There’s nothing wrong with that.
The important thing is that we qualify in 2020 because we are one of the host nations.
Us, along with the majority of other European countries.
But still, there will be European Football games taking place in Dublin, which is pretty cool.
The FAI confirmed today which dates the Dublin Arena will play host to the competition, so get your diary out now. Call your boss and tell him you might be sick in two years time, because who knows when the next time we’ll be hosting a sporting event of this magnitude.

FAI CEO John Delaney has welcomed the news, saying: “It is great to have the dates confirmed as we continue with our preparations for what will be the biggest international sporting event yet to be staged in Ireland.”

So there you have it. Book June of 2020 off work because the best footballers that Europe have to offer will be playing in Dublin.
