Easter simply wouldn’t be the same without the Fairyhouse Festival.

Some may love Easter for chocolate, but Fairyhouse is the only thing the rest of us want to tuck into. Not only is it one of our most iconic tracks, but the Irish Grand National is a race that will always hold a special place in the hearts of racing fans of all interest levels.

Before that however, the festival will kick off with the legendary Ryanair Gold Cup, which is the feature race on the opening day. It’s got to be one of the most hotly-contested races in the game, and has been won by the likes of Arkle and Like A Butterfly.

Run over two miles and four furlongs, the race was won by Road to Respect in 2017, before Al Boum Photo won it last year.

The Ryanair Gold Cup is a Grade 1 race of the highest quality and attracts some of England and Ireland’s best novice chasers. As one of the highlights of the Irish racing calendar punters are promised a day full of excitement and unpredictability, with top quality horses being put to the test around one of Ireland’s most testing tracks.

Whether you find yourself in one of Fairyhouse Racecourse’s private luxury suites, the famous BobbyJo Bistro or cheering your horse home track-side, there’s plenty of top class racing to enjoy.

And the party doesn’t stop there, after the racing punters can join The Kilkennys for live music in the Festival Marquee. To make sure you don’t miss out on all the action, book your tickets here.

One of the most anticipated dates on the Irish Racing calendar the Fairyhouse Easter Festival runs from Sunday, 21 April to Tuesday, 23 April 2019. Book your place now on www.fairyhouse.ie.
