Calling all horse racing fans!

One of the biggest events in the horse racing calendar is just around the corner. The Cheltenham Festival kicks off on 13 March. In anticipation of this massive occasion, The Paddy Power Cheltenham Trials Day takes place at Naas Racecourse on 25 February.

It’s the perfect way to prepare yourself as the festival gallops ever closer.

You’ll get a chance to see Irish horses in action on home turf before they race onto one of the biggest stages in the sport. There’s no shortage of potential stars among the pack and by the time they return there could well be champions among them.

While it might make a great day out for the spectators, the stakes are high for those involved. This could be the trainers’ final opportunity to give their contenders a run before the festival begins.

The feature race on the day will be the Grade 2 Paddy Power Onsite App Novice Hurdle, which has been won in the past by big names such as Annie Power. Last year’s Trials also saw Irish Gold Cup winner Edwulf take to the fences.

By the time this weekend rolls around, the jockeys will be fully in the Cheltenham mode.

While you’re there, make sure to check out the newest addition to the racecourse, The Circle Bar, where The Paddy Power Winning Line will be held. A host of racing personalities will be on hand to preview the card at 12.45 pm.

There’ll also be a Cheltenham preview throughout the day where you’ll get a chance to hear from leading jockeys and trainers on how they see the festival playing out. You might even get yourself a tip or two.

Paddy Power Cheltenham Trials Day will take place at Naas Racecourse on Sunday, 25 February. See some potential stars in action before they make the trip to Cheltenham. Tickets are just €15 and you’ll get a free €5 bet with that. The first of the eight races kick off at 1.40pm.
