This is a bit of a fall from grace…

Andrea Dossena will always be remembered by Liverpool fans for his contribution to two of their biggest wins in the last ten years.

The Italian wing back scored against Manchester United in that 4-1 win at Old Trafford and against Real Madrid in the 4-0 win at Anfield. Dossena was rubbish but they are some achievements and highlight to have on his CV following his spell on Merseyside.

The much maligned left footer moved back to Serie A after his time at Liverpool as he had spells with Napoli and Palermo. He ended back in the Premier League last season playing a part in Sunderland’s escape from relegation. That’s a pretty decent career he had going… until now.

What’s happened today is truly bizarre because Dossena has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him join League One side Leyton Orient until the end of the season.

It’s like someone has been cheating playing Football Manager but the deal is legit and here’s the proof.
