Ireland and Martin O’Neill will know who they are playing in the World Cup play-off by this time next week.

The draw will take place on Tuesday 17 October at 1pm and once Ireland’s opponents are announced, the next thing on the agenda will be trying to sort out tickets for the two legs.

Well, the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) have announced information regarding tickets for the play-off.

Public sale of tickets for the home leg will begin on 20 October at 11am, with prices starting at €30 for adults and €20 for kids – excluding booking fees.

Applications for the away leg can be submitted via the Away Ticketing System on Thursday 19 October and you can find the link for the portal here (probably a good idea to register right now if you haven’t already to save you some time for when the tickets are actually up for grabs).

FAI Season Ticket holders, Club Ireland members and Jack Charlton Lounge patrons can avail of an exclusive pre-sale period starting on Wednesday 18 October at 11am but this pre-sale is only available for the home leg of the play-off.

The play-off first legs will be played between 9-11 November with the return legs on between 12-14 November.

Ireland’s possible opponents in the play-offs are Switzerland, Italy, Croatia and Denmark.
