The speedster has been named in the New York City Sevens that will play in the Limerick Sevens on on August 9 and 10.

We probably don’t need to remind you just why Carlin Isles is the best known Rugby Sevens player in the world but just in case, have a gander at this.

After bursting onto the scene in 2012, Isles reputation as the fastest man in the game grew, but he was only a Sevens star at that stage. He did sign for Glasgow in February 2014 to try his hand at the XV-man game but he left at the end of the season to go back to playing for the US and to prepare for a spot at the 2016 Olympics.

The good news for Irish rugby fans is that they will get to see him in the flesh next month. Isles has been named in the New York City Sevens team that will play at Thomond Park in the Limerick World Club Sevens on August 9 and 10.

The event will feature teams from all over the world, including Saracens, New South Wales Waratahs, Stade Francais, Moscow, Auckland, New York, San Francisco Golden Gate, Vancouver, South Africa’s Blue Bulls, Western Province, plus Munster of course.

If you were thinking of heading along, now you have no excuse not to go.
