Former Kerry footballer dies following tragic accident in Guatemala

Very sad news.

26-year old Patrick Curtin, a former Kerry footballer, passed away in Miami earlier today after he was involved in an accident while working in Guatemala before Christmas.

The sad news was confirmed on the Kerry GAA website this morning about the Moyvane clubman, who represented the Kingdom at minor, under-21, Junior and Senior Level.

Curtin made 10 league and six Championship appearances for the Kerry seniors, whom he last represented in 2013 against Cavan in Croke Park.

Curtin had been injured in an accident while working in Guatemala before Christmas and was subsequently airlifted to hospital in Miami, where he passed away earlier today.
