2016/2017 promises to provide a Premier League season quite like any other.
For one thing, Leicester City have started the season as champions. Maybe even stranger, we’re all getting used to football being played on a Friday.
Jeff Stelling and his former Countdown counterpart Rachel Riley are presenting the show alongside four guests. The pair were on the couch with four guests for Man United’s opening home game against Southampton – chatting to Jamies Carragher and Redknapp, Ryan Giggs and Thierry Henry.
A typically exuberant Chris Kamara is also buzzed about the stadium with a microphone, chatting to Geoff Shreeves, watching the teams warm-up and getting blanked my Fraser Forster.
Think Kammy is going to have be sedated to get to sleep tonight. Excited.

Look at Kammy 😂😂 I swear he's a child in a mans body

I love how they've given @chris_kammy no script or direction and just let the madness spiral. Perfect role. #mufc

Unsurprisingly, football fans on Twitter were talking about little else besides Friday Night Football.

However, former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys (apparently) couldn’t resist having a cheeky dig at the light-hearted tone of Friday Night Football.
Join @AngusScott live for Utd's 1st home game of the season tonight. #beINSports. We take our football seriously.
