Conor McGregor and Diego Brandao had to be separated by Dana White in the O2 earlier today at what was one very heated weigh in…

The UFC Fight Night Dublin weigh ins kicked off today at the O2 in Dublin with the UFC Fight Pass prelim fighters. Ireland’s Patrick Holohan, Neil Seery and Cathal Pendred all made the weight in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.

The UFC Fight Pass prelim fighters weighed in as follows (note: weight is in lbs.)…

Ilir Latifi (205) vs Chris Dempsey (204)
Phil Harris (126) vs Neil Seery (125.5)
Mike King (185.5) vs Cathal Pendred (186)
Trevor Smith (185.5) vs Tor Troeng (185)
Nikita Krylov (205) vs Cody Donovan (205)
Patrick Holohan (125.5) vs Josh Sampo (126*)

Following the prelim, the UCF Fight Pass Main Card fighters were next to climb the scales. Lightweight “Stormin’” Norman Parke from Bushmills in Co. Antrim made weight at 155.5, while the honorary Irishman Gunnar Nelson (who’s Icelandic, in case you’re wondering) also made the cut coming in at 107.5.

The UCF Fight Pass Main Card fighters weighed in as follows…

Zak Cummings (171) vs Gunnar Nelson (170.5)
Ian McCall (126) vs Brad Pickett (126)
Naoyuki Kotani (155.5) vs Norman Parke (155.5)

Last, but by no means least, was the UFC Fight Pass Main Event weigh in with Conor McGregor and his opponent Diego Brandao. Unsurprisingly, the Brazilian was welcomed with an echoing round of boos from the home crowd in the O2, not that it seemed to bother Brandao who previously said he was expecting nothing but boos anyway.

Conor McGregor, on the other hand, was given the polar opposite greeting to that of Brandao’s, as the O2 arena erupted in cheers at the first sight of the Dublin man. McGregor was quick to let his opponent know he meant business and he even threw his hat at Brandao, who in turn threw it into the crowd in anger.

Following the weigh ins McGregor and Brandao were ushered over to one side of the stage for the face-offs, but unsurprisingly, McGregor was eager to get right up in Brandao’s face and the pair had to be separated by UFC head honcho Dana White.
