Days after leading Ireland to glory in Paris, some of Ireland’s Six Nations heroes had a watching brief in Donnybrook last night, and it was all for a great cause.

Rob Kearney, Gordon D’Arcy, Ian Madigan, Fergus McFadden and Jordi Murphy as well as the likes of Luke Fitzgerald, Sean O’Brien and Kevin McLaughlin were all in attendance at Donnybrook last night for a charity match between the Leinster Jesuit Schools and the Leinster Spiritans (Holy Ghost) Schools, with all proceeds going to the Jack Kavanagh trust.

Kavanagh, 21, is a former Clongowes student who was paralysed from the chest down having broke his neck in a surfing accident in 2012. Despite the difficulties that come with his injuries Jack has continued his pharmacy degree in Trinity College but requires funds for appropriate accommodation, 24 hour care and an assistant to help him with his lab work.

From the pictures above it looked like a great night was had by all and the lads were good enough to bring the Six Nations trophy along as well.

A great event for a great cause.
