Munster matched the exploits of Leinster and Ulster yesterday to record a bonus point victory against Perpignan at Thomond Park today.

Rob Penney’s men moved to the top of the pool after hitting five tries in a 36-8 rout of Perpignan, though injuries to Ian Keatley and Conor Murray will have soured the victory somewhat.

Similar to their fellow Irish provinces, they made all the running in the first half with tries from man-of-the-match Keith Earls, Sean Dougall and Dave Kilcoyne giving the hosts a 22-0 half-time lead.

The second half was not quite as clinical, and at times Munster’s execution let them down, but they still managed a penalty try and a fifth from James Coughlan in the 68th minute to seal an emphatic victory.
