Leinster all but assured their position at the top of Pool Six with a victory in Castres today, but it was one they really had to dig out. Here are some of the best pics from the Stade Pierre Antoine.
The three-time champs trailed 14-0 after an extremely sluggish start in France, but with out-half Jimmy Gopperth scoring two tries to drag Matt O’Connor’s side back into it, the Blues prevailed thanks to a third try by Jordi Murphy, three further penalties and a conversion by Gopperth and another audacious drop goal by Rob Kearney.
Leinster now lead Northampton by four points at the top of Pool Six and barring a disaster against the Ospreys next weekend, their passage to the quarter-finals as pool winners is all but assured.
