It wasn’t the classic that many were predicting but Sunday’s All-Ireland Final still offered plenty in the way of entertainment as the Dubs claimed their second title in three years with a one-point victory over Mayo.

Still distraught Mayo native Conor Heneghan is joined by Sean Nolan and Declan Whooley to pore over all aspects of Sunday’s game, including another slow Dublin start and another strong Dublin finish, Mayo’s lack of cutting edge in attack, the difference made by Bernard Brogan and the influence Stephen Cluxton managed to wield on proceedings from Dublin’s goal.

Joe McQuillan’s performance and the subsequent post-match comments are also up for discussion, while how Mayo will deal with yet more heartbreak, the positives they can take from the year and the GAA quote of the year from the Mayo homecoming are also brought up.

It has flown under the radar due to the build-up to the football but there’s also an All-Ireland Hurling Final to look forward to this weekend as Clare and Cork go at it once again in their efforts to claim Liam McCarthy.

Amongst the topics the lads discuss are which team has the greater scope for improvement, if Cork’s forwards can provide more of a scoring threat and whether or not Davy Fitz has any more tricks up his sleeve this time around.

If it’s anything like the first day we’re in for a treat.
