Kieran McGeeney will be kept busy next year after the Armagh selector accepted an invitation to join the Tipperary hurling backroom team for 2014.
According to The Irish Times, the former Kildare manager had been approached by Tipperary manager Eamon O’Shea, which was accepted, and will work on the mental aspects of preparations with the Premier County.
McGeeney was only recently announced as a new member to Paul Grimley’s backroom team in his native Armagh and will now have two counties to contend with over the coming months, though his primary focus will be with the Orchard County.
The acquisition of McGeeney is another major coup for O’Shea, who recently enlisted former Olympic sprinter Gary Ryan as their new physical trainer.
