GIF: Baseball umpire takes an incredibly painful hit to the groin
This is one that he will definitely, definitely be feeling this morning
If you've ever been hit in a the nuts with a baseball, then you'll know this man's pain. If not, then you'll surely be able to hazard some sort of a guess, as an umpire at the spring training game between Cincinnati and Cleveland took one square in the crown jewels.
And when we say he took one, we really mean it, because this wasn't from a stray pitch or a ball that bounced up, this was struck clean off a powerful pitch and went straight for his private parts like a homing missile of pure pain.
It's difficult enough to make out in the GIF as the angle changes, but if you look closely you can see the ball travelling towards him from the angle at the back of the field and hitting him, causing him to collapse to the ground instantly in agony. Here's a slightly better view:
He was able to get up and walk off under his own power shortly afterwards, but needless to say he will still be in pain today, and probably for the next few days.
