Grand National 2016 – When it’s on, where you can watch it and the latest odds

Eoghan Doherty

It’s almost time…

Even though the entire thing has obviously been overshadowed by THE GREATEST LIVE TV INTERVIEW OF ALL TIME, the Grand National at Aintree remains one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

Even people who have no interest in horse racing whatsoever will feel compelled to throw a few quid on a horse that just happens to be wearing their favourite colour.

Mauve. It’s always mauve.

With that in mind, here are the key details ahead of the race…

When is it on?

The Grand National is due to start at 5.15pm.

Where can I watch it?

Well, Aintree, if you can still get there in time. Or, failing that, RTÉ 2 and Channel 4 will be providing extensive coverage of the event all day.

Who do I put my money on?

As we said, when in doubt, go for your favourite colour – that method never fails.*

You can check out all of the latest and up-to-date odds from Ladbrokes by clicking here.

*That method pretty much always fails. Don’t be silly, follow the odds.
