Kiev flights Champions League final

There’s still work to do but Liverpool fans might want to start planning now.

In the coming weeks, you might be hearing a few people talking about a ‘reverse Istanbul’ but given the demolition job that Liverpool did on Roma in their Champions League semi-final first leg, we don’t see a shock on the cards in the Italian capital.

Simply put, Liverpool were superb as they annihilated Roma at Anfield.

Braces from Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and a strike from Sadio Mane did the damage as the Italians looked absolutely shellshocked at times. This being said, two late away goals have left  Roma with a sliver of hope going into the return leg and as we saw in their quarter-final against Barcelona, a comeback is possible.

This being said, we fully expect Klopp’s men to finish off the job in Italy and if they do, expect the cost of direct flights to Kiev for the final to skyrocket as soon as the final whistle is blown.

On that note, some Liverpool fans are probably already looking forward to a place in the final against the winners of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich but what about the cost of a flight to Kiev?

In recent years, Liverpool fans have travelled to Athens and Istanbul for the showpiece match and ahead of this year’s final on Saturday, May 26th, it’s very likely that some ‘Pool fans will be clocking up the air miles yet again with a trip to the Ukranian capital.

Here’s a look at some various prices on Skyscanner but given the long-haul nature of the trip, expect changeovers. Hell, at least you’ll have an opportunity to get a few pints in!

Again, it’s worth noting that prices will fluctuate but here’s what’s currently available at the cheapest prices for these specific dates.

At present, the cheapest option for a flight is to leave Dublin on Wednesday and return on Sunday. Granted, you’ll be taking an extra hit when it comes paying for additional hotel costs/missing work etc, but any travel arrangements are very much at your own choice.

Here’s what’s on offer if you fly out of Dublin on May 25th – the day before the final – and return on the 27th – the day after the match.

If you fly out of Dublin on May 24th and return on May 27th, here’s what you’ll have to pay.

If you fancy flying from Cork or Shannon, expect to pay a bit more and face the prospect of changing airports on the connection (that’s exclusive to flights leaving Shannon). This being said, the Cork flights aren’t too bad.

If you fancy flying out of Shannon, you better have deep pockets and a lot of patience!

Of course, every fan is guaranteed to take their own route and look for the cheapest way possible, but they’re an example of how much a direct flight to the Ukranian capital will cost.

All that Liverpool fans need to worry about now is finishing off Roma in the second leg and getting their hands on a ticket to the final.
