Only seven months to go...
The door has barely been closed on this year’s All-Ireland Championships, but we’re already looking forward to what’s around the corner in 2017.
Sure, there are some folk who feel that a more opportune time than a Thursday in the middle of October would better maximise interest in the GAA’s biggest products, but here we are.
Besides, county teams throughout the country now have a date to look forward to and managers will have the name of a rival that they can ram down players’ throats at training for the best part of the next seven months.
A distinguished panel of guests gathered at Croke Park for the draw, which was broadcast live on RTÉ 2, and it threw up some interesting fixtures, all of which can be seen below.
