No bad games here…

It is only mid-June but already the 2014 All-Ireland Hurling Championship is making a fair stab at matching the drama of 2013. We’ve had a few stone-cold classics already, from Waterford’s draw with Cork right up to yesterday’s epic Leinster semi-final tie between Kilkenny and Galway.

The teams that have been bounced out of their provincial championships all went into the hat this morning and all bar Offaly had put in at least one decent performance thus far, so whatever way the draw went, we were sure to have some superb clashes.

First up is the game between All-Ireland champions Clare and Wexford, who ran them oh-so-close last year.

Tipperary, without a Championship win now for two years, will try and rectify that against the loser of Galway or Kilkenny. Yikes.

Antrim will play host to Offaly while Waterford will welcome Laois.

Venues and throw-in times for the games will be confirmed later in the week
