It was coming.
Practically every GAA team in the country has a WhatsApp group these days.
It’s a helpful tool to inform players about training schedules and matches etc., but it also soon becomes a place where teammates slag each other as fiercely as they would in the dressing room itself.
We won’t reveal the name of the Galway club in which the following exchange took place because we don’t want to publicly embarrass the man responsible for sending the message, or his mother for that matter.
It made its way into our Facebook page last night and it was fairly clear that once he had made the mistake of sending it to the wrong group, it was pretty inevitable what would follow.
Thankfully, it was all harmless enough fun…
