Nothing was keeping hurler Maidhc Ó Conghaile down.

Hurler Maidhc Ó Conghaile may have taken an accidental hurl to the face from team-mate Thomas Monaghan last weekend, but he kept on celebrating with his team-mates like a champ.

The incident took place just moments after Mary Immaculate College claimed a Fitzgibbon Cup victory over IT Carlow at Pearse Park.

After Mary I ran out 3-24 to 1-19 victors, the players all gathered on the pitch to celebrate their win.

Unfortunately for Maidhc, he took the business end of Monaghan's hurl full in the face but that did not dampen his spirits for even a split second.

Look how quickly he gets back up...

Hero.

The video was sent on to us by Maidhc's sister Mairéad, who revealed that her brother ended up with a very bloody eye afterwards.

By the look of those celebrations, we're fairly certain there was a sore head the next morning too.
