Zlatan Ibrahimović has posted on Instagram in the most Zlatan way imaginable

If you take it very literally, this whole ordeal has been a battle with the Red Devils.

After it was officially announced by Manchester United that Zlatan Ibrahimović’s contract was terminated with immediate effect, the Swedish striker took to social media to confirm the news.

“Great things also come to an end,” he wrote on his official Twitter and Instagram pages, before adding, “it is time to move on after two fantastic seasons with Manchester United.”

Alongside a short thanks to the club and fans, the 36 year old veteran left them with what could only be described as the most Zlatan representation of a contract termination, in which he is a Christ-like figure arm wrestling Satan.

If you read it literally, you could argue that he was implying that the contract termination was a struggle between the Red Devils and himself.

United on the other hand had a less Biblical statement, with their spokesperson saying:

“Everyone at the club would like to thank Zlatan for his contribution to the team since his arrival and wishes him well for the future.”

Ibrahimović signed with United in the summer of 2016, and over the course of two seasons he played 53 times, while scoring 29 goals.

He played his final game against Burnley on St. Stephen’s Day.

Prior to United’s confirmation of the termination, reports emerged that Ibrahimović had signed with LA Galaxy.

The news was confirmed by LA Times sports reporter Kevin Baxter.

LA Galaxy are expected to make an official announcement on Friday.
