We wouldn’t be surprised if Twelvetrees’ bones are still shaking after this. Ouch.

If Gloucester’s Billy Twelvetrees was hoping to ease his way into the new Aviva Premiership season at the weekend then he had another thing coming after being rocked by a ferocious hit by Northampton’s Samu Manoa during the clash at Franklin's Gardens.

As well as being on the receiving end of a hit like that, Gloucester got hammered 53-6 so it turned out to be one of those nights for Billy ‘36’ Twelvetrees, but he’s not the only one to have felt the force of Manoa in the recent past, isn’t that right, Peter O’Mahony?
