The game itself finished 19-6 in favour of the home side, and Leinster were able to get their first win in three, bringing a poor run of form to an end. However an under-strength Ulster were never really at the races, and with the Six Nations kicking off in February at the Aviva Stadium against Scotland, the big news is O'Brien's unjury.
The outlook is not optimistic, and if it is a dislocation, then O'Brien could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and it could be two to three months before he's back in training, meaning that taking any part in the Championship is well and truly out of the question.
