Put the dates in the diary Irish rugby fans.

It’s a long way away yet but the IRFU this morning confirmed details about the 2014 Guinness Series, when Ireland will take on South Africa, Georgia and Australia on successive weekends at the Aviva Stadium in November.

South Africa are first up on Saturday, November 8, followed by Georgia seven days later and a match-up against the Wallabies on Saturday, 22 November, when Joe Schmidt’s men will be looking for revenge following a disappointing performance against the same opposition late last year.

Tickets for the series are already available to order from rugby clubs and a priority sales window for Supporters Club members will take place in advance of the public sale opening on Tuesday 3rd June.

Ticket prices, value packages and travel offers will be confirmed at a later date, while for those who can’t make it, the games will be broadcast live on RTE and Sky and will hopefully serve as perfect preparation for the defence of the Six Nations title this time next year.

Yes we’re thinking that far ahead already, why the hell not?
