What a night for the man from Wicklow…
Bray wrestler Finn Bálor defeated Seth Rollins last night at SummerSlam to become the first-ever WWE Universal champion.
Bálor and Rollins have been trading verbal barbs for weeks and last night they finally faced off in what was Bálor’s first ever Pay-per-view event last night.
The Bray man has struck the first blow of what could turn into a rivalry between the pair and the little fact that he became the first Universal champion in the process adds to his stardom.
People were suitably impressed with Balor and predicted big things for him over the future as he took a huge step towards establishing himself as one of the faces of the company.
