Bollywood actress Esha Gupta has apologised for her comments.

Esha Gupta, an Indian model/actress and Arsenal ambassador, has apologised after she shared a screenshot of a text message in which she and her friend made racist comments about Arsenal player and Nigerian internatonal Alex Iwobi.

Following Arsenal’s 3-1 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup on Friday night, Gupta shared a Whatsapp conversation between her and her friend, in which she referred to Iwobi as a “gorilla”.

The uploaded picture of the conversation has since been deleted.

She also said that it was said out of frustration during the game, and that she herself has been a victim of racism before, and that what has happened is not something that she is proud of.
