James McClean's row with Lamine Koné is escalating quickly

All that's missing is a 'your ma' joke.

West Brom winger James McClean is no stranger to getting some online abuse but while the Derry man isn't shy to put online trolls back in their place, it's quite unusual for the former Wigan and Sunderland man to be getting stick from his fellow professionals.

It seems that Black Cats defender centre-half Lamine Koné didn't take too kindly to McClean's robust play during their 0-0 draw as seen by this tweet. Shots fired.

Never one to back down from a challenge, McClean responded in kind.

Rather than just let things go, Koné had another pop on the Irish international.

We've a felling that Tony Pulis might be having another word with the former Derry City star after this reply which burned Koné, Sam Allardyce's team and the whole of Sunderland.
