JOE’s talking sports heads are joined by a few guests this week as Jonathan Wilson and Scott Murray of The Guardian and John Keith all chat about the latest book The Anatomy of Liverpool: A History in Ten Matches, which looks at the biggest matches, or perhaps most important matches in Liverpool’s history, of which there are certainly plenty. There’s also a bit of a chat about what the current direction of the club is under Brendan Rodgers, and is he bringing back the Liverpool style of football.

Apart from that, the panel also turn their attention to the long-awaited move of Shane Long, who has finally joined Hull. Is this a good move for both parties, and how will it all pan out? There are a few huge games in the Premier League this weekend too, none bigger than Chelsea taking on Manchester United. Is this the game where Moyes can finally get a big performance from his side?

There’s some chat about the Ballon d’Or winner in there too after the ceremony in Zurich earlier this week, and while Messi might have looked like a Quality Street, it was Cristiano Ronaldo’s night when all was said and done. Finally, the panel chats about how much they’re looking forward to Roy Keane being in books, TV shows, on the bench and on the big screen in 2014, we simply can’t get enough Roy.
