JOE’s Premier League scorecast: Arsenal v Manchester City

It's the stand-out fixture of the Premier League weekend and we take a look at the betting market to see if there is any value to be had.

JOE

It’s the stand-out fixture of the Premier League weekend and we have poured over the odds at Ladbrokes to find you a winning scorecast.

Both teams come into this match having lost a little momentum. Although Arsenal remain unbeaten after the first three games, they have drawn their last two whereas City suffered a shock defeat at home to Stoke last time out. City are slight favourites priced at 7/5 and Arsenal are at 9/5. For the draw, you can get 5/2.

The first scorer market throws up some enticing looking options with Arsenal new boy Danny Welbeck (pic above) right up there at 6/1 alongside Alexis Sanchez, but it’s City marksman, Sergio Aguero who leads the market at 9/2.

It’s going to be a tough one to call for a scorecast, but we feel that Danny Welbeck will score against City as he has done in the past for Manchester United, but we are torn over who we think will win. We are going to plump for a double of Welbeck to score at any time and for the match to finish in a draw which is available at 19/2.
