This is just the beginning of what is bound to be a very disruptive week.
In case you didn’t know, the weather is to get pretty bad.
As in, government emergency meeting bad.
The cold front coming in from Siberia which is set to plummet temperature to as low at minus ten degrees in parts of the country (we’re looking at you, Galway) has already hit certain parts of Europe.
On Sunday evening, the Juventus V Atalanta game was to take place in Turin in Northern Italy, but eventually needed to be postponed with the snowfall took a turn for the more severe, and the while it did turn the pitch into a bit of a Winter Wonderland, we also imagine it made it next to impossible to actually play on.

Juventus-Atalanta kick-off could be delayed to 18.30 to check if sudden heavy snow would slow down. High postponing risk pic.twitter.com/I35fWmm1Yu

The announcement was eventually made to call off the game until a future date, which was met with a wall of boos from disappointed fans in the stadium.
But like we said, we imagine this is only the beginning, especially since some forecasters are predicting a status red weather warning and up to 40cm of snow next week in Ireland alone.
