The Kingdom won 3-16 to 3-13 against Mayo at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
It was a stunning game, with Cillian O’Connor – sent off in a messy end to extra-time – Kieran Donaghy and man of the match James O’Donoghue the pick of the bunch.
Not since 1991 and Dublin v Meath have two teams been so evenly match, but it was the greater stamina of Eamonn Fitzmaurice’s side that told in the end.
Kerry outlast Mayo 3-16 3-13 in pulsating AllIreland semi final. Incredible effort from both. Kerry’s inability to put away team scary tho.

That was an ugly finish to a beautiful sequel. A rancid desert that shouldn’t take away from the brilliance of the main course #gaa

Exhilarating game. Tough for Mayo. Getting nasty again after the final whistle with a police man pushing down a Mayo fan

For Kerry, to be in the All-Ireland final after losing Cooper, T O Se, Galvin and Brosnan is astonishing. And Mayo will be back. Definitely.

Kerry get last 5 scores in extra-time – that’s why they’re the Kingdom. #gaa

A Mayo fan pushed on his hole by a garda there for trying to get at the ref. Rightly so.
