Nate Diaz was very clearly not a fan of the fight.
Well, we got there eventually.
Khabib Nurmagomedov took to the ring on Saturday night to take on Tony Ferguson Max Holloway Al Iaquinta to become the undisputed lightweight champion, essentially stripping Conor McGregor of the title.
The judges scored the fight 40-44, 50-43, 50-43 in Nurmagomedov’s favour.
Undefeated. Undisputed.

The online reaction to the fight was … muted, to say the least.
Perhaps it is best summarised by Nate Diaz’s sole tweet since the fight has taken place…

Yikes.
Once the fight was over, Nurmagomedov obviously couldn’t let the opportunity go without mentioning McGregor, as well as calling out who he wants to fight next.
According to ABC News, having received his belt, Nurmagomedov said “Where’s Conor? You want to fight with bus? I want to fight with real gangster.”, as well as saying “I want to fight with Georges St-Pierre in New York. Madison Square Garden.”
So there you have it.
We still have to wait and see what McGregor’s next move will be, and whether or not it will actually be in his hands to make.
