McGregor press conference

This is going to be a big one.

You’d be forgiven for not being particularly excited for the upcoming Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov fight.

Aside from the odd Instagram post from The Notorious, there has been little or no build up.

Well, that’s all about to change.

Reports suggest that McGregor and Nurmagomedov will both attend the first official press conference on Thursday 20 September, ahead of their scheduled fight at UFC 229.

Unfortunately, reports suggest that it won’t be open to the general public and that it will be media only…

This may detract from the lively atmosphere that brought us the “Who the fuck is that guy?” moment, but we’ll take what we can get here.

The last altercation between the two occurred when the Dublin man threw a dolly through the window of a parked bus filled with UFC fighers, Khabib included, in New York prior to UFC 223 back in April.

McGregor and Khabib will be headed back to the Big Apple for the press conference, which will take place at the Radio City Music Hall, just over two weeks out from the fight.

What we’re trying to say is: don’t miss this press conference.

McGregor took to Twitter on Tuesday night to post a training montage, and he’s looking pretty sharp.

And we can only assume Khabib is too.

UFC 229 will go down at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 7 October.

The pre-fight press conference is often where Conor McGregor does his best work, so you definitely won’t want to miss this.
