Irish football legend Tony Cascarino joined us this week to discuss who might win the title, the incredible relegation battle and dealing with madcap owners.
We were lucky enough to be able to nab Irish footballing great Tony Cascarino for our chat this week. Big Cas played for Ireland 88 times, as well as having spells at Chelsea, Celtic, Villa and Marseille. He’s seen and done it all, so when he says that Arsenal aren’t going to win the title at 13/2, we tend to believe him.
With Eric Lalor firing the questions, our own Sean Nolan, Ladbrokes’ betting guru Hayley O’Connor and Tony discussed the Champions League, who will win the Premier League and which of the many teams down in the relegation scrap will fall through the trap door. Trying to make that elusive top four also comes under scrutiny, and it is good news for Liverpool and bad news for Manchester United if our panel is to be believed.
Tony only told us that compared to the likes of Shahid Khan and Vincent Tan, Marseille’s Bernard Tapie was the real deal when it came to crazy owners.
