On Friday night, the League of Ireland drew to a close.
Dundalk won the league quite comfortably, but that doesn’t mean that the season was without drama, bags of promising talent, unique stories and other pieces of footballing excellence that you just don’t find in other leagues.
Every team had their highs and lows, and memories were created that will last a lifetime, for both fans and players alike.
But it has come to a halt, much to the regret of the thousands of die-hard fans who brave the cold weather every Friday night.
At a time where Irish football is starting to look like it’s on the up, there would be no better time to get involved with the country’s national league.
