This is bizarre.
Athlone Town are away to Sheriff YC in the FAI Cup tonight and it’s produced one of the most ‘WTF’ moments of the season so far.
It’s nothing to do with anything on the pitch, the incident in question happened off the pitch or in the dressing rooms to be more specific.
Lifelong Athlone Town fan Ashley Cahill explained the situation with this tweet.
Madness…one of this Athlone Town squad has just entered the pitch area having been locked in the dressing room for the 1st 30 mins!!!
