“Forever in our hearts.”

It has been just two weeks since Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha passed away alongside four other people in a helicopter accident outside the King Power Stadium.

Srivaddhanaprabha was exiting the stadium after his club’s 1-1 home draw with West Ham United when the incident took place.

The club officially confirmed the tragic news on the following evening, with many Leicester City players taking to social media to offer their respects.

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was among them, holding nothing back in the way of emotion or eloquence.

In those personal reflections and the many long-form journalistic pieces that followed in the wake of Srivaddhanaprabha’s tragic death, a vivid picture of the man emerged, painting him as a figure who loved his community and was greatly loved in turn.

Saturday afternoon marked the former Premier League champions – a campaign that Srivaddhanaprabha proudly oversaw – return to the King Power Stadium against Burnley.

It was always going to be an emotional affair even without a ceremony prior to kick-off and the news that the club intend to build a statue in honour of Srivaddhanaprabha.

Both the difficult period in Leicester’s recent history and their love for their fallen owner are on full display in a six-minute video shared on the club’s Twitter account on Saturday.
