Leinster and Munster in the running for best rugby fans in the world

Leinster and Munster will battle it out off the pitch with both sets of supporters in the running for the best supporters in rugby.

Leinster and Munster will battle it out off the pitch with both sets of supporters in the running for the best supporters in rugby.

The Munster faithful will have been pleased that Thomond Park came out on top recently as the best rugby stadium for atmosphere, so they will be hoping to add the tag of best supporters to that lofty title from readers of In The Loose.

They will have some familiar foes for competition with Leinster also in the mix. Their recent run of success has seen a growing fan base to add to their core support and travel in big numbers to support their boys in blue.

The Aviva Premiership has two clubs in the running with Gloucester and Leicester, a club both Munster and Leinster have been very familiar with since the advent of the Heineken Cup, along with the current Heineken Cup champions Toulon, who travelled in numbers to Dublin last May to see their expensively assembled side claim the top prize in European rugby.

Maybe we are a little biased, but we expect this to be a straight shoot-out between the two Irish provinces with the Leicester Tigers putting up a  strong battle.
