Life Style Sports to refund cost of Irish rugby jerseys if Ireland win the World Cup

Come on Ireland!

Conor Heneghan

All the more reason to want Ireland to win the big prize.

With less than two months to go until the Rugby World Cup kicks off, Life Style Sports have announced details of a fantastic offer for Irish rugby fans.

The 100% Irish owned company have revealed that they will refund the cost of Irish rugby jerseys bought in store or online on July 24, 25 and 26 if Joe Schmidt can guide Paul O’Connell and company to the promised land a little later this year.

It’s ridiculously exciting to even think about the prospect of Ireland going all the way, but if they do, customers who purchased the new Irish rugby jersey on those dates (July 24-26), or pre-ordered it since July 14, will be entitled to a refund.

The new men’s, women’s and kids Ireland rugby jerseys are available in store and online from Friday, 24 July 2015.

Life Style Sports has already demonstrated its commitment to Irish supporters by being first to market, pricing Ireland’s newest rugby jersey at €69; a reduction of €12.50 on the RRP of €81.50. The RWC badged jersey is on sale at the reduced price of €80 (the RRP is €87.50).

Life Style Sports is the only retailer in Ireland to stock all 20 Rugby World Cup team jerseys and has a number of digital campaigns planned for Irish rugby fans over the coming weeks with the #ForVictory hashtag playing a major part in this.

Should Paul O’Connell end up lifting the Webb Ellis trophy in Twickenham on 31 October, the exclusive offer could end up costing Life Style Sports in the region of €100,000 but we dare say they won’t be too bothered if it does come to pass.

Commenting on the promotion, Mark Stafford, CEO of Life Style Sports, said: “At Life Style Sports we’re backing the Irish team to win and we’re backing Irish rugby supporters.

We’re offering a full refund to all customers who buy their Ireland Rugby jersey with us this Friday, Saturday & Sunday should Ireland go all the way in October.

“This promotion could cost us up to €100,000 and if the Irish rugby team become world champions we would only be too delighted to give our customers another reason to celebrate.”
