The 45 year wait is over!

A huge homecoming party is planned for the home of Limerick GAA to celebrate the team’s triumphant return of the Liam McCarthy Cup to the Treaty County.

Limerick took on Galway in an All-Ireland final that was tense right to the end, which ended with a final score of 3-16 to 2-18.

‘Dreams’ by The Cranberries echoed through the speakers to signify Limerick’s win, ensuring that the 45-year wait is now officially over.

To celebrate the win, supporters will get the chance to welcome home their heroes at the free family-friendly party in the Gaelic Grounds.

The team’s homecoming is a ticket-only event with free tickets available on Eventbrite.ie from 6pm on Sunday 19th August 2018.

Organisers are urging people to be patient with the website, which will work on a first come first served basis.

Tickets are limited to six per person and are downloadable to phones.

Gates open at 4pm but supporters are encouraged to get to the stadium as early as possible as once the stadium is at full capacity, no others will be admitted.

Irish groups Beoga and The Blizzards will be there to perform on the day as well as DJ Mark McCabe who will be there keeping spirits high.
